Gevurah, Emanation of Judgement
The left hand of Ein Soph. The harsh Judge and curator of action.
As the forceful left hand, Gevurah must temper the dreams of existence with harsh protocol. Ever steadying the wings of migrant hearts to ensure the journey.

Gevurah Origin

The fifth Emanation. She is the hand that separates. The rule of law that brings order to the world. She assesses what is just, letting us overcome our adversaries both from outside and within. Hers is the power to separate. To cleave apart a unified whole and leave to component pieces. It’s a trait that demands as much fear as it does respect because with it comes an inherent violence. She does this without enmit because it’s an act that must be committed to create balance.
The red orb exists as a boundary, closed to the unworthy.
Gevurah’s position at the center of its pillar defines that pillar’s trait of Severity. Her push against Chesed, on the opposite side of the tree is met with equal and opposite resistance. Without both of them in equal measure, we have no means of maintaining healthy relationships. We must have judgement to separate what is healthy for us, so that we can bring it into our lives and embrace it.
